Helena Bonham Carter is Looking Good
This is Helena Bonham Carter at a recent exhibition to celebrate the work of her partner Tim Burton.
Even the normally critical (of women) Daily Mail had a fairly positive response to her appearance. I love that she has a very individual look and is not scared to look a bit of a mess (though not here). I really like her crazy hair — I think we comb our hair way too much sometimes.
J. Depp was there, looking beautifully interesting, as usual. I think that man has different genes from most humans (maybe he is half human and half beautiful alien). Depp and Bonham Carter make a great pairing and I can’t wait to see them in Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
Bonham Carter should be worth watching in the Enid Blyton movie too. Someone handed down a big old pile of Blyton’s books when I was a small child and I think I learned to read from a combination of them and my brother’s collection of vintage Marvel comics. I loved all the ginger beer and cream tea business in the Blyton stories (though I did have a peculiar fixation on Spiderman and his big-jawed Aunt). It was a million miles away from my own life and I think I liked the fantasy better than reality.
