Places we visit

We first wrote this Places We Visit page way back when we started out — so things have  changed a lot since then. Watch out for the update. We’ve about a million links for this section but we’re still trying to work out if it will totally mess up our SERPS. We’ll give you one just now though, because it is just about irrististible:

Regretsy – worth a visit for the ‘Where DIY meets WTF’ tagline alone. Basically a site devoted to the more ‘unusual’ items for sale on Etsy. If you don’t already know what Etsy is then pay a visit. Most of the stuff on there is pretty high quality, with original handcrafted designs, some vintage and also supplies. A small proportion of items for sale on Etsy are… how can I say this without offending… utter s***e. But it is all relative and one person’s rubbish is another person’s idea of art.

The commentary on Regretsy can be at the laugh-out-loud level and being featured on it is no disaster, as it can lead to a flood of visitors. We’re convinced some people put outrageous items on just for the general attention they might get on Regretsy and elsewhere.

We don’t sell on Etsy (yet) but I think if we did there may be a fair chance we’d be featured on Regretsy — what with our pushing-the-boundaries type thing we sometimes have going on. We think we know The Line, though and we may or may not have crossed it yet.
